Today we release our new legal guide on pursuing claims for civil damages for victim-survivors of gender-based violence.
Even when a case of gender-based violence does not result in a criminal conviction, it may be possible to seek financial compensation from the perpetrator. This guide outlines factors to consider when deciding whether or not to make a claim, the risks and benefits of a civil damages claim, and what can be compensated for.
