How can the SWRC help?

Whether to proceed with a complaint about the police or not is a personal decision. You may feel able to submit a complaint yourself without any assistance. Or you may have concerns that going over the details of what happened will be distressing. You are welcome to contact the SWRC helpline to speak with a member of our advocacy team who can talk to you about what kind of support might be available, and help with any other questions you have about the process. They can also arrange for you to speak with a SWRC solicitor if you need initial legal information and advice about your situation.
