Training

Legal Protections for Survivors of Gender-Based Violence

This 2 hour training session will introduce participants to different types of legal protections available to women experiencing gender-based violence and abuse in Scotland, including the practical process of securing a protective order and the evidence required to do so.

The specific protective orders covered in this training are Interdicts, Exclusion Orders and Non-Harassment Orders. The session will also touch on Forced Marriage Protection Orders and Female Genital Mutilation Protective Orders.

This training is designed for organisations and agencies who would like to learn about the different legal protections available for women who have experienced gender-based violence (GBV). An understanding of GBV is helpful but not necessary and you do not need to be working directly with survivors to attend.
